2019年8月27日下午，APDF第二個(gè)區(qū)域性國家分會在美國猶他州鹽湖城宣布成立，APDF創(chuàng)始主席何昌成專程前往美國主持了本次成立儀式，塞爾維亞前總統(tǒng)、全球一帶一路理事會理事Boris Tadic、紐約哈萊姆特社區(qū)市長、聯(lián)合國親善大使、喀麥隆王母德洛伊斯·布萊克利博士、中國海洋戰(zhàn)略論壇一帶一路基金會主席劉健、國際信息發(fā)展組織主席李世恩及各國友人共同見證并出席了成立儀式。

The founding chairman of APDF, He Changcheng, made a special trip to the United States to host the ceremony. The former President of Serbia and the Council of the Global Belt and Road Council Boris Tadic, Mayor of Harlemt Community in New York, UN Goodwill Ambassador, Dr. Delois Blakely, Queen Mother of Cameroon, Chairman of the China Ocean Strategy Forum, Belt and Road Foundation, Liu Jian, Chairman of the International Information Development Organization, Li Shien, and friends from all over the world witnessed and attended the inauguration ceremony.

與此同時(shí)，IAI全球設(shè)計(jì)大獎、IAI全球珠寶創(chuàng)新獎（美國站）啟動儀式也于當(dāng)日同期舉行。來自世界各國的與會重要嘉賓共同見證了這一儀式。

據(jù)悉，這是APDF自2013年在北京（中央美術(shù)學(xué)院）成立大中華區(qū)理事會之后的第二個(gè)國家級分會，未來APDF將在美國開展各種形式的設(shè)計(jì)活動，以此促進(jìn)全球設(shè)計(jì)合作，推動中美乃至亞洲與北美之間的在設(shè)計(jì)領(lǐng)域的民間文化交流與發(fā)展。同時(shí)，它將為中國設(shè)計(jì)走向世界，甚至引領(lǐng)未來設(shè)計(jì)可持續(xù)發(fā)展都將扮演積極的推動作用。APDF美國分會成立儀式在聯(lián)合國非政府組織大會期間舉行，并在聯(lián)合國官員和各界權(quán)威見證下宣布成立，規(guī)格之高前所未有，APDF美國分會的成立，無疑將進(jìn)一步樹立APDF在國際設(shè)計(jì)領(lǐng)域的權(quán)威性和影響力。
